What PetKayr is

PetKayr is a community platform where pet owners exchange pet-sitting and dog-walking services using service credits. Members book, message, and coordinate with each other directly. PetKayr provides the platform, the credit system, identity verification tools, and support - not the pet care itself. PetKayr is owned and operated by FLUX LLC.

Sitters and owners are independent community members. They are not employees, agents, contractors, or partners of PetKayr, and PetKayr does not supervise, direct, or control any pet care.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use PetKayr.
• Provide accurate, complete information and keep your profile up to date.
• One account per person. Duplicate or shared accounts are not allowed.
• Keep your login credentials secure - you're responsible for activity on your account.
• Some features (like sitting for other members' pets) require identity verification, done through Stripe Identity with a government-issued photo ID and a matching face scan (selfie).
• "Identity Verified" means only that identity verification was completed - it is not an endorsement, and PetKayr doesn't guarantee any member's safety, skill, honesty, or suitability.

Bookings and credits

• A booking is an agreement between you and the other member. PetKayr is not a party to it.
• Credits are reserved when a sitter accepts and transfer to the sitter when the sit is completed.
• Credits are units of exchange within PetKayr. They have no cash value, are not wages or income, and are non-transferable except as earned through sitting.
• Taking bookings, payments, or communication off-platform is prohibited - off-platform arrangements lose all PetKayr protections and may result in account suspension.
• Purchases made in the iPhone app are processed by Apple and also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. Apple is not responsible for PetKayr or its content.

Acceptable use

• No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or threats of any kind.
• No illegal activity, including animal neglect or abuse.
• No impersonation, scraping, or automated access to the platform.
• Don't bypass safety tools like blocking, reporting, or verification.
• Don't share other members' private information (addresses, contact details) outside a confirmed booking.

Liability

PetKayr is provided "as is." PetKayr is not an insurer and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any member's pet care. Each member is responsible for their own conduct, pets, property, and decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetKayr's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to PetKayr in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. If you have a dispute with another member, contact support first and we'll do our best to help.

Termination and changes

PetKayr may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these terms or put the community at risk. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

We may update these terms; when we do, we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use PetKayr after an update means you accept the revised terms.
